BsB talk ‘Show ‘Em What You’re Made Of’ documentary

Brian Littrell from the best-selling group, Backstreet Boys, chatted about their new documentary, “Show ‘Em What You’re Made Of.”

Their documentary will be released on January 30 in the United States. “We started talking about this documentary many years ago, when we opened up the idea of Kevin coming back. When Kevin came back, we decided to document our 20 year anniversary with the making of the record. We discovered that there was a production company that wanted to co-produce it with us, so we started to run around ideas about going to each other’s hometowns, where we grew up, and re-live the Backstreet Boys story from the beginning until now,” Littrell said.
He continued, “It is not a fluffy, emotional piece about how big the Backstreet Boys are. It is more or less about the climb and the journey, and the paths that made us who we are today. Making this documentary was very real. We shared a lot of emotional things and hopefully people are affected in a good and positive way about it. It is an inspiring story, and I hope that people look at it through the great times the bad times, all of which made us who we are as people today. Life happens, and for us it happened in the public, right before social media.
Littrell shared that he is motivated each day by his family, his wife and son. “I have been with my wife almost 18 years, and I have a 12-year-old son who drives me every single day. I have to go to my family first, and then the fans who are another great motivation. Inspiration is easily found in my life,” he said.

Brian Littrell can picture Backstreet Boys performing into their 50s

Luis Gomez About Last Night
10:16 p.m. CDT, June 4, 2014

I hate to be the bearer of bad news for One Direction fans, but the immensely popular British boy band won’t be around forever. History has taught us that solo aspirations or in-fighting among band members will likely do in the quintet within the next two to three years (five, if they’re lucky), just like they’ve done in nearly every pop band that came before them. Many of us can see the Harry Styles solo album coming from a mile away. And when that day comes and One Direction is no more — which hopefully happens later rather than sooner, for the sake of millions of teenagers — don’t be surprised if the Backstreet Boys are still going strong.

The Backstreet Boys, you see, are the exception to the rule.

The “I Want It That Way” band celebrated its 20th anniversary and released its eighth studio album, “In A World Like This,” last year. Backstreet has been recording new music steadily since its self-titled 1996 debut, never going more than five years without an album release. To put that in perspective, pop acts such as ‘N Sync and the Spice Girls haven’t released an album in more than a decade and 98 Degrees and New Kids on the Block both waited more than a decade before recording another album. Backstreet performs Wednesday at FirstMerit Bank Pavilion at Northerly Island along with Avril Lavigne. In October, the guys will take part in a four-day Backstreet fan cruise, in collaboration with Carnival Cruise Lines.

That’s not to say it’s been smooth sailing (excuse the pun) the entire time for Backstreet. There have been solo albums, stints in rehab and lawsuits — not to mention Kevin Richardson left the band in 2006 before returning in 2012. Still, they’ve far outlasted everyone’s predictions and, as last year’s surprise cameo in “This Is The End” proved, remain relevant after all these years. Here, band member Brian Littrell talks about where Backstreet goes from here and pictures a day when the general public gets past the boy band stigma and gives the guys their due.

Q: Backstreet is now 21 years old. What keeps you guys from calling it a day and going your separate ways?

Backstreets Brian only has eyes for one lady

Backstreet’s back! Here, Brian Littrell tells all about their new tour and why he feels the love on Valentine’s Day

He’s no Hugh Hefner. You won’t catch Brian Littrell bedding a bevy of babes on the Day Of Love – February 14.

Brian’s too refined and too smart. If Barry White was the Love Walrus, Brian is the boy next door. He’s a modest, understated old romantic.

While Barry is all grunt and grind, Brian is more kiss and cuddle. He’d rather a sensitive gesture, than a revolving bed, black satin sheets and a collection of 1970s soul tunes.

That doesn’t mean, however, that he’s a slouch when it comes to the Day of Love.

“Valentine’s Day is very important to me, it’s funny that you should ask me about that,” he says.

Brian only has eyes for his model wife, Leighanne Wallace, who he met in 1997 on the set for their video shoot for As Long As You Love Me.

He proposed on Christmas Eve, 1999, and they married the following September, at Peachtree Christian Church. Their son, Baylee Thomas Wylee Littrell, was born two years later.

Brian will be getting ready to hit the road when Valentine’s Day falls. “We’re going to Portugal and Spain a few days after,” he says.

“My birthday is on February 20 and we’ll be in Barcelona by then.

“So we’ve decided to have a big Valentine’s Day party at the house. We’re going to celebrate it with families and certain couples. It’ll be like a big prom.”

Ah, bless. Isn’t he a sweetie?

20 ans de carrière, un nouvel opus baptisé “In a World Like This” et une tournée éponyme !

Brian : On adore nos fans français !

Public : A.J.

Interview for Celebuzz!

Celebuzz interviewed Brian and Nick on the red carpet of Glamorama “Fashion in a New Light” 2013.

Here’s the article and the video of the interview…

At this year’s VMAs Miley Cyrus brought the bootylicious, booty-bumping concept of twerking to the every single American young and old. Now, she’s riding a wrecking ball like it’s nobody’s business — and the Backstreet Boys are hopping on the ball bandwagon.

“We’re trying to do anything to remind people we’re still here!” Nick Carter told Celebuzz at the Macy’s Passport Presents Glamorama at L.A.’s Orpheum Theatre on Thursday.

“We were thinking about it,” he said about highlighting the massive steel prop in their next video.

(But the CB! mic will just have to do for now.)

And all the hoopla surrounding her foam finger-loving, tongue-wagging jam session with Robin Thicke is a whole lot of unnecessary drama.

“She’s not doing anything, anymore than anyone has ever done in the past,” Carter said.

“The problem is you see where she came from, you see her as a little girl, people can’t get that out of their minds. She’s grown up. She’s doing what she wants to do.”

“As a father, I might have a different opinion,” Littrell chimed in. “But her sales spiked.”

That they did. The twerking effect fueled a record-breaking 306,100 tweets per minute and her Bangerz album eached No. 5 on the iTunes chart.
