Two Backstreet Boys had an emotionally charged experience in the Holy Land of Israel by taking a plunge into a river made famous by Jesus himself.

Howie Dorough and Brian Littrell, along with his wife Leighanne Littrell, all took a blessed bath in the Jordan River as part of a baptism ceremony.

You see Brian in the video break down during the ritual.

The band is on tour in Israel where they took a break for a mud bath in the Dead Sea with wine in hand.

Check out the gallery for all the holy happenings in underground Christian corridors and King Herod’s royal thrones … but not the type of throne you think.

Lexington, Kentucky (WYMT)The stars were out tonight in Lexington as more than one dozen musicians from Kentucky were inducted into the Kentucky Music Hall of Fame and Museum.

Halfway to Hazard brought the crowd to its feet to begin the ceremony, then Chad Warrix and David Tolliver received the Hall Of Fame’s Humanitarian Award for their fundraising efforts to help their native Eastern Kentucky.

Warrix & Tolliver said, “To be in this company with all these people around us is unreal. It’s an honor. Very humbling. Clarence Spalding, one of the biggest managers, Larry Cordle, Montgomery Gentry who has been a huge influence on us. These names are just always huge at this event”.

Lawrence County native Larry Cordle entered the Hall of Fame after a career as a country singer and songwriter that has spanned 40 years.

“I was just working and really wanted to be in the music industry. You don’t think about being honored in this fashion. I wanted to do good. I wanted to do as good as I possibly could,” Cordle mentioned.

Also entering the Hall, Country duo Montgomery Gentry.

Eddie Montgomery and Troy Gentry responded, “It’s just unbelievable. It’s something you dream of growing up. In Kentucky, you have all the music, the bluegrass, the country, the rock, everything. And if you look at all the inductees that says it all right there”.

And Backstreet’s back! Kevin Richardson and Brian Littrell of the Backstreet Boys are now immortalized in the Hall of Fame.

“The heritage of Kentucky music to be a part of that family with so many great people that have come before us. Loretta Lynn, Ricky Skaggs, Rosemary Clooney, I mean the list goes on. It’s an honor,” Richardson said.

An honor that ensures the accomplishments of these musicians will be remembered for a long time.

Also entering the Kentucky Music Hall of Fame Friday night were folk singer Doc Hopkins, manager Clarence Spalding, comedian and singer Pete Stamper, and R&B group The Moonglows. Former WKYT Vice President Tom Bennett received the Danny Ford Distinguished Service Award for his efforts advocacy on behalf of the hall of fame and museum.

Several big names in the music industry such as The Backstreet Boys and Montgomery Gentry visited Lexington Friday evening as they were all part of the newest class of The Kentucky Music Hall of Fame and Museum.

“There’s no place like home,” Backstreet Boy Kevin Richardson said.

The 2015 Kentucky Music Hall of Fame inductees all have rich Kentucky ties and have made a tremendous impact in the music industry.

“I grew up half my life in Harrodsburg, Kentucky- went to Mercer County Elementary School. Then we moved to the mountains of Eastern Kentucky halfway between Irvine and Beattyville and I graduated from Estill County High School,” Richardson said.

Country duo – Halfway to Hazard, received a humanitarian award Friday for raising more than one million dollars towards Eastern Kentucky concerns.

“Kentucky is such a rich history of talent and artists and writers and singers and wow,” Halfway to Hazard’s Chad Warrix said.

Retired Vice President of Reel Property/Special Projects at WKYT, Tom Bennett, was awarded the Danny R. Ford Distinguished Service Award for his advocacy on behalf of the museum.

Past Kentucky Music Hall of Fame inductees include John Michael Montgomery, Ricky Skaggs and Rosemary Clooney to name a few.
